The team lent a hand: they not only supported our services, but also those of the Stadtmission Kiel. Whether handing out coffee in the drinking room, sorting clothes in the clothing store or in direct contact with people who need help - the young players were there with commitment, curiosity and appreciation.
At the same time, a group of them went on an impressive tour of the city led by our volunteer guide "HaPe". HaPe opened his heart, told them about his own experiences and took them to places in Kiel that make it clear how existential difficulties and exclusion can shape the realities of life. For many, this was a moment of reflection and empathy.
Our guests were also given an insight into the work of our partner HEMPELS e.V.: In the editorial offices, they got an impression of how media work, publicity and social participation are linked.
During the day, our Managing Director Lukas Lehmann and our Pedagogical Director Kiel-Mitte, Mrugalla-Gühlcke, reported on the services offered by Kieler Anker - services that provide people with a stable place to go, shelter and peace and a place where they can feel welcome.
We would like to thank Holstein Kiel U23 and Willi Weiße for their open, respectful and committed visit. Your commitment shows how much a day spent together can achieve - for us, for our guests and for social interaction in our city.
