Kiel anchor presented on the story deck of the Ocean Race

The Kiel Anchor is now part of the official Sailing City Storydeck of the Ocean Race Europe in Kiel. On the event website, the anchor is portrayed as a "place of calm in the midst of rough seas" - a place where people can find support, community and stability.

The Ocean Race Europe 2025 started in Kiel from August 6 to 10. As the starting port for the regatta, Kiel.Sailing.City combines top sailing with maritime culture and environmental awareness. In addition to the races, visitors can expect a varied supporting program with courses, hands-on activities and events directly on the fjord.

With the Storydeck, the Ocean Race introduces partners who shape Kiel's maritime lifestyle and strengthen social cohesion through their commitment. The fact that Kieler Anker has been included in this series is a special recognition of our work.
