Social service
Our low-threshold social service offers advice and help to people on low incomes (mostly recipients of citizen's benefit or basic income support). The aim is to prevent acute emergencies that can arise due to addiction problems, over-indebtedness or the threat of imprisonment, among other things.
In acute emergencies (e.g. account seizure or blocking), we offer short-term assistance. We advise, accompany and support you in assessing your own options and help you develop solutions to stabilize and improve your economic, social and psychological situation. The advice is of course confidential and free of charge.

- Fiduciary money management and monitoring of payment obligations
- Help with the prevention of substitute custodial sentences

- Accompaniment to visits to authorities
- Psychosocial counseling in crisis situations
- Teaching financial skills
Kieler Anker provides social work and housing assistance to help formerly homeless people or people at risk of homelessness to manage their own home with the aim of preventing (renewed) homelessness. This can also take place within the framework of assistance that supplements the social housing support provided by the state of Schleswig-Holstein in the municipalities. In particular, we work with the HEMPELS Treuhandstiftung at the Diakoniestiftung Schleswig-Holstein as a landlord.
